Krista worked in women’s health as a staff nurse for several years before pursuing advanced practice. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN) from USC in 1998 and became Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center later that year (FNP-BC).

Krista and her husband, Brian, have two teens and live in West Des Moines. She currently serves on the board for The Senior Life Center in Des Moines. Her free time is spent with family and friends, usually trying out some new recipes.
