Shawna Freeman was born and raised in Iowa. After graduating from Ogden High School in 1997 she attended UNI and later received her Associates Degree in Nursing from DMACC in 2000.
Shawna has worked in the hospital and clinic setting in women’s health prior to pursuing advanced practice. She earned her BSN and MSN from Graceland University in 2008 and became Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center later that year.
Shawna has a special interest in genetics. In 2017 she obtained her ACOG Certificate of Women’s Health Genomics.
Shawna and her husband Brad have two boys and reside in Indianola. She is very involved with her kids’ sports and activities. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and spending time with her family.
